Dr. Fred Travis, Ph.D

Dr. Fred Travis is a neuroscientist and Director of the Center for Brain, Consciousness, and Cognition at Maharishi International University, where he also chairs the Department of Maharishi Vedic Science and has served as Dean of the Graduate School. He earned his MA and PhD in psychology and completed postdoctoral research on brain changes during sleep before returning to lead the university's brain research center. His work focuses on how meditation and states of consciousness are reflected in measurable brain functioning.
